Meet Jack.

Jack McGlinn is an aspiring statesman currently studying political science, economics, and astrophysics at the University of Chicago.

Jack has been into history from a young age. At 5, he was first exposed to history when a family friend of his showed him two French cannons used at the Battle of Yorktown. As you could imagine, those two cannons were the perfect starting point for any young boy. Jack immediately fell in love with history and has been devoted to the subject ever since.

Jack enjoys working on his website. When he created the site in November of 2020, he saw it as his way to tell his stories to the world, whether they be about historical blunders, eccentric dictators, or foreign policy initiatives.

Jack placed 5th in the United States in the 2020 National History Bee, came second in the 2019 National History Bowl, and has finished as a semifinalist at the 2020 International History Summer Tournament. He has also served as a research assistant for consecutive summers at a London-based counterterrorism firm.

Jack hopes you enjoy his articles! Never hesitate to reach out, especially if you would like to see any articles in particular!
